La religion est l'incarnation des superstitions les plus enfantines

«Le mot Dieu n'est pour moi rien de plus que l'expression et le produit des faiblesses humaines, la Bible un recueil de légendes, certes honorables mais primitives qui sont néanmoins assez puériles…la religion juive, comme toutes les autres religions est l'incarnation des superstitions les plus enfantines».

Ce n’est pas moi qui le dit mais Albert Einstein dans une lettre datée du 3 janvier 1954.

Cependant, en apprenant qu’un homme vêtu comme Darth Vader s'en est pris au fondateur de l'Église Jedi d'Angleterre Barney Jones (aussi connu sous le nom de Maître Jonba Hehol), à l'aide d'une béquille de métal, le frappant à la tête, je me dis que peut-être il n’est pas si loin de la réalité.

hmm...certainly makes you wonder, doesn't it?

BTW can someone convert from being Sheiite or Sunni to being Sufi without getting into trouble, do you know?

Well it depends in which country the person lives :) Seriously, I have no idea if on the theological grounds (Shari3a) there is something to hold on for changing obediance.
By the way, what`s the thing with soufism ? There is a real buzz around it :)

Yes I noticed that too, there is definitely a Sufi awakening going on around the world. It seems to me more and more peaceful Muslims are getting fed up with how political Islam is corrupting the religion. They don't necessarily want to abandon their religion because of that, but I do see more and more individuals turn to Sufism as an alternative to Sunna and Shiaa. Sufism promotes the spiritual aspect of Islam mainly, where the other two enforce too many manmade restriction and religious rule where little is left to freedom of choice and having faith.
